I got this idea from a blogger that
posted it on pinterest (http://richestoragsbydori.blogspot.com).
I saw this as a great opportunity to get the kids involved in making Saturday’s
lunch! They enjoyed it and were very pleased with their tasty creations. Here
are a few pictures and details on how to make them with your family!
Ingredients:
Homestyle biscuits.
Pepperoni slices.
Block cheese(s).
1 Egg.
Italian seasoning.
Parmesan shredded cheese.
Garlic powder.
Pizza sauce.
I sliced all of the cheeses into
nice little squares. Then I lay out wax paper and taped it down to the counter
for the boys to make their pizza rolls. I placed all of the biscuits out on the
wax paper and used my rolling pin to flatten them out. I did all of this before
I called the boys in the kitchen- much easier to have it all ready!
Place toppings in the center of the
biscuit, we found that you can put 3-4 slices of cheese along with 4-5 slices
of pepperoni in each biscuit. Once you put your toppings inside, gather the
edges of the dough into a fold on the toppings. Flip upside down and place in
your baking dish.
Beat egg and brush over biscuits.
Dress with Italian seasoning, garlic powder and Parmesan cheese.
Heat oven to 425*, put foil over
the baking dish and cook for 20min. Remove foil and cook for an additional
5-10mins. Dough should be completely cooked through. While the pizza rolls are
finishing, warm pizza sauce on the stove in a small saucepan. Remove from the
oven and enjoy your pizza rolls!
We’re excited to try this with
peppers, onions and sausage next time! YUM!
